In 2013, City Life Church became aware of a growing need within the Lacey community—families facing financial hardship during the Christmas season. In response, Hearts to Homes was created to bring hope, joy, and practical support to local families who might otherwise go without during the holidays.

Through the generosity of our community and partnerships with North Thurston Public Schools, the Lacey Police Department, Olympia/Lacey Church of God, Household, and City Life Church, We are able to provide Christmas gifts and essential items to families in need each year.

North Thurston Public Schools helps identify and qualify families, while our community partners help by grabbing tags and purchasing needed items and wish-list gifts for the children. Once the gifts are collected, we host a special Christmas event where families can enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, and a visit from Santa as they receive the precious Christmas gifts for their children. Many of the requests we receive are for basic necessities such as coats, boots, clothing, hats, gloves, and other winter essentials for children. In addition to these needs, each child also receives an age-appropriate toy or personal interest gift to help make Christmas special and memorable.

Without the support of Hearts to Homes, many of these families would not be able to fully experience the joy and warmth of Christmas. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and remind families that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Donations to Hearts to Homes may be made by cash, check, debit card, or credit card.
